So called eastern conference contenders have losing win-loss records and are struggling right now. Is it just Early season blues or they are just that bad ? I know these teams have injured players( embiid for the Sixers, banchero for the magic ) young players(magic) and new players( Knicks, see the karl-Anthony towns trade ) It takes time for teams to gel and build chemistry. And winning without your best players (embiid and banchero) is very difficult.

Bucks 1-6
Sixers 1-5
Magic 3-5
Knicks 3-3 (playing for .500)

the Cavs and Celtics are the only contenders and the only teams period to have winning records in the east. The other 13 teams are playing for 0.500 (equal numbers of wins and losses) or have losing (win-loss) records. In the east, teams seeded 6-15 have losing records. The 3rd seeded Miami Heat are 3-3. In the west the 9th seeded, 3-3 spurs is the first team in the conference to have a 0.500 record.

By comparison the first 8 teams in the standings in the west have all winning records. And the 9-10-11th seeded teams play for 0.500. The bottom four teams in the western standings have losing records.
Knicks will be fine. Sixers should be concerned, that depth looking real fugazi right now and their star player been in headlines before the season even started. Bucks might fall apart before the trade deadline even starts, that’s the real surprise to me. I thought they would be out for blood

Wemby's shot selection, low post skillset, poor decision making and inability to exploit mismatches on the offensive end is disturbing given his level of talent. Watching some tape of Kareem and steering him away from the "7'4" 2Guard" schtick should be helpful.
idk why people think Jamal Crawford teaching him was a good idea. It's not all on him, but i can't imagine Jamal friggin' Crawford has anything of value to teach Victor that he can't get from the coaching staff

Looking forward to seeing just how dominant OKC will be on defense this season. I expect them to overwhelm the majority of the league on that end of the floor.

:picard:

They're living up to expectations so far.

CLE, OKC, BOS, GSW, PHX all deserve credit for separating themselves from the rest early on, but they’ve largely if not entirely avoided each other up until this point.

A lot of that changes in these next couple weeks.

Darius Garland playing like he did when he made All-Star. So is Jarrett Allen. Evan Mobley took a step this year and Donovan Mitchell improved his playmaking and been playing at an MVP level. Cavs a sleeper team to make a deep run. Okoro, Dean Wade, Caris Levert, Ty Jerome and Sam Merrill bench is deep. People overlooked chemistry and continuity. The best ability is availability. The Cavs is a young team they took a step each year lost in the play-in, made the first round, made the second round. Next step is conference finals and NBA finals.

Strus is supposed to come back at some point too.

Kd filthy this season

Im surprised nobody checked you on this post.

KD is filthy every season. Im not sure why KD gets underrated but he’s legit top 10-15 player ever. He hasnt shot under 50% from the floor since 2013. The wildest shyt ive ever heard was when people said Melo was comparable/better offensively.
