i dont get that sequence by the blazers down 4 with 24 seconds left. you let them waste 8 seconds while you try and get a steal before you foul. then after they make 2 free throws you in bound it into the mid post where you hold the ball for 5 seconds waiting for a 3pt shooter to come open which doesnt happen because even the lakers arent that stupid then you proceed to just try and drive the ball to the rim and get stripped so its lakers ball then you decide to commit a foul with 5 seconds left down 6.

the suns thought they'd bring in another championship coach with a better offensive track record, bring in a couple point guards so booker can play more off ball, a little more size and they'd be improved. it clearly hasnt worked, they went from 9th in net rating last year to currently 20th. the problem used to be they were good when durant was on the court now theyre only a + 0.1 net rating even when hes on the court. thats not to say he doesnt have any impact because theyre 2-11 without him this season but they arent good. nick richards had a few good games early on mostly against bad teams now this is 8 straight games where his plus/minus is negative.

whats really concerning is 5 of their most used 12 lineups this season have a net of -18.6 or worse. how is it even possible to be that bad? thats also with 8 of those 12 lineups being a net negative.
