- Raptors and Pistons get the play-in spots in the East with the possibility one of them (more likely the Raptors getting one of the top 6 spots)
- Bulls finally go all in on a rebuild
- None of the main characters involved in trade talks gets traded until the off season (except for Grant and possibly Wiggins)
- Clippers make the play in, but misses the playoffs
- Timberwolves and Pacers still make playoffs, but underperforms
- Rockets exceed expectations and wins over 47 games, but makes the play-in
