Y’all kill me with thisnobody expected OKC or Minnesota to be top 2 in the West before the season started. Lakers Golden state, Denver and the Suns get the games they do because they were they last 4 standing when it mattered most last year

because the top 2 teams in the West are otherwise bad for business.
When's the last time you saw an NBA show and they said "let's take a look at the top of the Western Conference standings"
first thing they show you is the play-in bracket
the league asks the Spurs to play a lot of international games.
Besides, the Olympics will be there this year and Wemby just left there. Plenty of time for the NBA to smother us with Wemby - Paris stuff that way in the future (also low key they didn't wanna cost the Spurs a home game)

Zion burned them a lot. The league doesn't know how to show variety. When a team gets shine, they get 30 of them nationally. It's not that much different than the NFL in all honesty where even if a young team looks good too many casuals will be like "cmon man put the Cowboys on."
