So if the Mavs make the finals basically both finals teams and the eventual NBA champion wouldn’t exist if the Nets didn’t chase (and fail) being a big three team twice. Their picks to the Celtics became Tatum and Brown and they sent Kyrie to the Mavs for peanuts.

To add insult to injury at the same time they are giving up the #3 pick to the Rockets in this year’s draft.

It’s the biggest L in modern sports and no one is talking about it.

Also, I think it’s time to really re-evaluate that Celtics team that had Kyrie, Brown, Tatum, Hayward, and Horford. It could have been a dynasty, and it failing isn’t all because of Hayward being injured or even Kyrie leaving. Ainge was obsessed with getting AD and didn’t invest in that squad.

Don't forget they gave up the pick that ended up becoming Dame to go bring in Gerald Wallace for that failed big three run as well.

No it wouldn't have as money would have broken that team up beforehand.

Hell, money did play a part in that core being broken up.

Yeah I forgot about it. It’s like an all time institutional failure because two different owners, and FO did the same thing twice and it basically gave other teams unfair advantages.
