Turner/Hield a possibility for the Warriors if Pacers wanna go all in on the tank? :jbhmm:

Pacers will never go all in on tanking. Their ownership is against it, they would much rather be the 7th seed than pick in the lottery

I think this year is different.

They don't need to tank for multi seasons. If they get a good lottery pick this year then they're set. They can be good right away.

If they somehow get Wembanyama then they immediately have the most exciting young team in the league.

It's worth writing off one season for that possibility.

but if they don't, they become another clusterfukk of a roster where all their players are wings.

That’s never really been their MO. I think they’re more likely to make a trade to try to improve than to tank all for an extremely slim chance at the #1 pick

They kind of did tank at the end of last season with shutting down both Brogdon and Turner, but I don't ever remember them full on tanking.

Ehh…to me that was more of a soft tank because we already knew they were a longshot to make the playoffs. Right now they’re .500 and in the mix for playoff position, let’s say by the time we get to the trade deadline they sustain that level of play. I don’t see them blowing it up unless it’s a deal that’s too good to pass up

They don't really have anyone to offer outside of Hield and Turner, which I assume that they are going to try and package together as it makes no sense as to why Turner is still on the roster otherwise.
