Because the players better break that double standard and have the same smoke for another player when they go off the rails, otherwise no one will take them seriously the next time an owner or exec fukks up, which WILL happen
Gotta hold yourselves accountable
Why is this the first time this is a talking point? Leonard did much worse, hell you can say guys like Miles Bridges did much worse too. No one has ever called out the players to speak up like they are doing now.
And the thing with Sterling and Sarver is they have been doing and accused of these things for decades. Everyone knew what kind of man Sterling was for over a decade, nobody said a peep including the players. Even James Jones defended Sarver initially lol. Players just like everyone else will wait till the last second when its safe to call such things out.
We also have to stop playing dumb when it comes to these issues. The reality is people will call out issues that impact them the most, that's how it goes. Not a single owner spoke out against Sarver publicly. They kept it quiet when it came to one of their own. This is how it goes.
