Because the picks will not be as good as him. They could literally play Davis reasonable minutes during the regular season to keep him healthy for the playoffs. Once he gets in the playoffs he is a big game player which is what the Bulls need to get out of the East. It is basically a win now mentality because Derozen is not getting any younger.
