I'm not high on DEN's supporting cast and have my doubts on their core being as good as advertised. But that display of shot making Murray had at the end was a reminder of what he's capable of and the type of ish they'll need from him in a non-bubble playoff environment.

Tthis was my impression of Denver a couple weeks ago after their first preseason game.

Granted, Donovan Mitchell replicated his bubble performance in a non-bubble environment the following year (2021 playoffs) so it's not out the question for Murray to do similar (albeit 3 years later)... but if he ain't that guy, and MPJr still isn't more than a designer brand Gerald Green, then i see DEN as the same team that may win 50 games but still find themselves in a 1-3 hole in the 1st round.

Just depends on what Murray is looking like as the season progresses.

Luka might win the mvp this season
During preseason -
Given there's no more Brunson, he should comfortably lead the league in time of possession, and his surface stats will only benefit from that. There's no other player I can see that will have better conditions to turn up the volume to max in the box score. That should give him more capital in the MVP race to make up whatever he gives up in team record (akin to Jokic and the 6th-seed Nuggets last season).

If anyone manages to beat him or Embiid, I'll be surprised.

Kawhi looks to be the best of the rest, but I have doubts over whether he'll be healthy enough and/or play enough games.
It's set-up for him to win.
