Too many teams will end up in front of Portland for them to have a viable chance at a top pick in the offseason and don't forget if CJ comes back (if he isn't traded) then he will mess with the tank as well.

He’s actually been cleared to come back but they’re giving him time off to do his thing because he also has a baby on the way. They gave him the don’t rush to come back, meanwhile dame had a child born in the middle of the last season, he skipped one game then was back in the rotation.
They’ve been saying after that Boston beat down, CJ played his last game as a blazer

They’re “atrocious” with him too.
Their best bet is to hope that other teams keep aiming for the play-in tournament and don't join in on the tankathon as well.
