I wanted to the Bulls to draft him but yea hec trash. Frank Ntilikina part deux:yeshrug:

Fall off was crazy, he looked like a great 2way starting SG. Is it just injuries bc his shot disappeared outta nowhere?

Injuries, which is exactly why Denver traded him as they just couldn't continue taking the gamble and hoping that he could stay healthy. Dude was always missing games over something.

Even when healthy now, dude is shooting like 30% from 3 when he was usually around 40% early on...so it's not even just injuries....like dude flatot forgot how to play

Crazy rookie numbers by Sengun and Mobley

But on the opposite side what’s gone wrong with Suggs?

This is a weird chart that doesn't really say a lot about the rookies at all.

Suggs is dealing with the fact that there's a huge logjam at his position and he's playing on the worst team in the league, so his confidence is shot. Anthony was fighting tooth and nail to get minutes over Fultz, and now Suggs will be fighting tooth and nail to get minutes over Anthony, and Fultz isn't even back yet. None of the 3 have the skillset to play with each other. It's complete incompetence by the Magic.

The "pick the best player available" philosophy doesn't work all the time.

They can’t bring up dudes from the G-league to play?
Players on two-way deals yes but you only get two of those per roster a season. The two-way players and your 15 man roster can bounce back and forth between the two leagues freely but you have to give a regular G League guy(non two-way player) a NBA contract to get him on the main roster.

This is someone who hasn't watched games. Suggs biggest issue is his handle isn't good enough to create at all. He turns it over like a crazy rate and his jumper is not where it needs to be to make up for the lack of creation. He has been given the greenest of light and he's been abysmal. To his credit he was starting to play decent ball before he got injured but nothing of his production so far has anything to do with Fultz or Cole Anthony. Not sure why that would even leave your mouth.

Because with Anthony on the floor they can't defend a soul and Anthony and Suggs have incompatible games. That chart is showing +/-

Suggs wants to be paired with an offball shooter that can defend to balance the floor, and if he wasn't playing with a dude at his same position maybe then he could ease his way into a traditional PG role. Does he look like shyt? Yes, but the Magic aren't doing him any favors.

This happened to Darius Garland as well, him and Suggs have very similar rookie stats right now. Now that he's not playing with Sexton he's looking like an actual PG.

aint no logjam :dead: suggs has been playing like straight up dogshyt. dude's handle is buns and he can't shoot

there was no comp between fultz and anthony either. the only 'issue' they had was clifford's dumbass rotations and determination to keep michael carter williams in the league. they could play together just fine in a offense that wasn't stuck in the 90s

Agreed on the first part, he is playing like shyt, but the team is not structured to accentuate his strengths whatsoever. He's just trying to make it work.

I don't think Fultz and Anthony would ever be able to play with each other, atleast not as a winning tandem. The spacing doesn't work at all and neither is good enough defensively to offset that

Bruh I'm dead ass puzzled. Suggs handles the rock like a center and he's talking about he needs to play more on-ball with off ball shooters? Wtf!

Suggs is an offball defensive guard right now. If he can shoot that's the high end of his role in the league. Off ball defensive guard who can kind of attack a closeout and is a dog on defense.
