I hate analytics. Like it has a purpose and it helps, but you can’t go all in on it. I thought the Rockets team disproved this myth.... folks gon learn
The Steph/KD Warriors beat every team in NBA history.

The fact that the Rockets lost to them both years, doesn't disprove anything, when they most probably would've won if the Warriors didn't exist.

"Analytic thinking is destroying his [Anthony Davis] game and he doesn’t even know it. This trend started last season. If he built his game out from the extreme post and not the mid post he would show more consistency."

WOAT analysis. He's making a pro-analytics argument and he doesn't even know it. Straight rockhead shyt.

key word I got from this probably. Rockets had a chance, if I remember correctly, but decided to launch 3’s with consecutive misses...

A chance, you say?

They don't even get to that point if they don't have that style of play.

On the point about the consecutive misses:

"Rockets embarked on an approximately 1-in-72,000 cold streak from deep at the worst possible time, with a trip to the Finals on the line.”

Basically, if you simulate that game again 71,999 times, they wouldn't miss all those shots. You can't use an improbable sequence like that to definitively rule on it not working.

The Rockets had the best shot-type selection in the entire league during those seasons, even better than the Warriors, who sacrificed their system to appease KD, and nearly ended up losing the '18 WCF until the offense started to run back through Steph/Klay with more three-point shooting and ball movement. The problem for the Rockets was, the predictability of how they generated those shots, and the lack of late-game execution of Harden and CP3, and the fact, neither of them are fukking with Steph.
