Yeah, it needs to be said that its not just the trips to the free throw line but the fact that some of those guys are getting honest defense put on them for the first time in years too. I know Hayward wasn't listed, but one of the wildest things with him is that he's been called for push off offensive fouls more in 5 games than he did for several months last season. The guy has gradually put on a lot of muscle over the years and now he's realizing he's gotta use those tools differently.Dame was the master of that come off a screen, guard fights under it, Dame feels contact and goes into a shooting motion, Dame gets free throws play.
That play has all but evaporated now. Now that is a play on and instead of Dame going to the line the play just keeps going.
That call and Harden's arm hook have been the two plays the league have REALLY cracked down on.
I think Lillard will eventually adjust as well. Maybe scoring won't shoot back up for some guys, but they should find ways to reach their same efficiency.
