jury still out on pat, vooch the only real discussion that needs to be had he’s been mad inconsistent but next year a contract year so he’ll probably be better(if he’s still here). Covid then injuries really hurt this team not trippin on the free fall they got flexibility to make some moves & should be in the the top 6 next season

Most of us have/had reasonable expectations....theres only a small crew that popped big shyt. Hornets havent been relevant since when? At least we made a ECF in the 21st century. You live in a glass house broski, dont throw stones

i'm only even mentioning all this because folks said it was crazy to believe Billy Donovan is a fraud. dude been a spectator for years - only reason he even got the 'good coach' label was because he followed behind brooks

I don’t see this Warriors team beating the Suns in seven games unless Curry averages 40 and Draymond goes back to 2015-16 levels on defense.

Oh, believe you me, I’m the exact opposite to optimistic about this Warriors squad. They aren’t contenders. Their fans in the season thread are sick and tired of me going on about it; they’re sick and tired of me pointing out all the things wrong about their squad.

But I do favor them if they can stay healthy to beat the Suns. Stylistically, they aren’t a team that really has any notable on-court advantage against the Warriors. You beat the Warriors by dominating them inside with size or wings (Suns either have none of those or don't utilize them properly); you beat the Warriors with shooting (they aren't a particularly great shooting team); you beat the Warriors with physicality and running them off the floor (again, the Suns aren't great in those areas either). It's going to be up to Devin and CP3, and the Warriors have enough firepower (Steph, Klay, Poole and to a much lesser extent - Wiggins) to counter those two. The Suns don't have that dominant wing or big man to really take advantage of where the Warriors are weak. But I must stress, GS can easily get punched in the mouth before they even reach that point of whenever the face the Suns that it ultimately won't matter. The longer the playoffs go on, the more likely their health will diminish as they've been fighting an uphill battle with injuries all season. They'll break eventually, at some point.

I’m looking at 70 games and the Suns are shooting just well and their defense is elite. Their discipline is much more sound than GSW.

I'm looking at the games they played against one another. The other 70-odd games are against other teams. I don't see them as being particularly relevant. Styles make fights.

Yeah. The Suns are better right now. Warriors are looking up to them. And the warriors will have to win in spite of Kerr’s coaching.

monty stresses discipline and poise. He says it all the time in his interviews. Steve Kerr has been coaching for 8 years and still can’t find a way to cut down on turnovers. They’ve been one of the worse teams at taking care of the ball since he stepped in GSW. It may have been fine when they had KD, or when they took the league by storm and got 73 wins, but now other teams have caught up. There’s no room for error. All those TO’s are gonna cost them games, and it already has this season.

not to mention, he holds his own players back and has a Doc Rivers feel for the game. Monty on the other hand, is always cool under pressure, almost ALWAYS makes the correct decision. His rotations are on point, he doesn’t experiment. He’s putting on a coaching clinic.

guaranteed if u give Kerr the PHX roster, he would make Jae Crowder/Ayton the primary ball handlers and have CP and Book run off screens, and almost never utilize the CP/Ayton PnR
