I agree with Lavine & maybe Ingram. The rest are same tier. It's Luka/Ja on the young superstar tier.Book, Mitchell, and Tatum on the Star tier.Lavine & Ingram on the very good tier.I would've had Booker on the very good tier, but he's actually playing defense this year.#1 rated defensive SG in the league up to this point in the season.
:mjlol: fukk outta here. Ja is most certainly not on a higher level than Tatum. There is absolutely no argument for that. It's Tatum/Luka, then everybody else. The C's were defending Ja like he was Ben Simmons from three when we played them a few weeks ago. Meanwhile, Tatum hasn't played a single game where he wasn't double teamed every time he touches it in months. And on the other end there is just no comparison.

There's a difference between "actually playing defense this year" and being an elite defender, which Tatum inarguably is. Mitchell and Book aren't on JT's level on that end. If Tatum didn't have an abnormally rough shooting start to this season, there would no argument here. Those dudes aren't on his level.

Bucks vs TWolves should be a good one :ehh:

They can make a statement and put some pressure on DEN to win at BOS tomorrow

However, that final stretch of games may be too much for MIN

They got:
MIL (today)
DAL
PHO
DAL
BOS
TOR
DEN

Whereas DEN has:
BOS
LAC
PHX
OKC
CHA
IND
MIN

I get it but I'm not feeling bad for a 7 seed that loses 2 home games in a win or go home situation, especially if its against the Clippers without Kawhi & PG13

They are also only 1 game back of Denver with about 10 games left so there's time to play their way into the top 6 too.
I hear the criticism about the play-in tournament and i get it; it can definitely suck for the fanbases of those teams in 7th and 8th that are far ahead of the 9th and 10th... but ultimately no one cares about the trials and tribulations of a 7th or 8th seed. At least not the conventional 7s & 8s that are seen as sacrificial lambs.

Hell, last year's LAL team and this year's BK team were/are unconventional... but nobody felt/is feeling sorry for either. We're just here for the fukkery and misery the play-in can bring to them.

That's not other teams problem though. That's what an 82 game season is for. If you can't make the 7th or 8th seed, then you don't deserve to get in. I get the play-in on for the East, but the West doesn't need one this year.

Not when you're essentially looking at a 4.5 game lead between seeds 8th-10th.

tbh, I don't get what your point is here.

Mine was this: Nobody cares if it's unfair to the 7th or 8th seed. Only partly in jest.

Sometimes it'll feel justified (East this year), sometimes it may feel unjustified (West this year)... but there was a time where ppl said too many teams made the playoffs bc a 37-45 8th seed could make it. Other years ppl said it's unfair to not have a 1-16 re-seeding bc of how lopsided the conferences were. It's always something that someone doesn't like or wants changed.

That's not entirely true. If the Lakers or the Nets were 5+ games up over the 9th and 10th seed, then you'd have people questioning the need for the play-in tournament this year and you'd be lying if you said otherwise. The only reason it's not a problem this year is because of the notoriety of the teams in the play-in.

So you're saying it's not entirely false either... which goes back to when i said for conventional 7th/8th seeds, nobody cares...

and that even for the unconventional ones.. (i.e. Lakers/ Nets), ppl aren't feeling sorry for them either given how they got there in this instance...

I thought i made this pretty clear already breh.

The fans of those teams care, so the premise that no one cares is a lie. As I've said before, the play-in becomes a problem when it's your teams that's involved in it.

So basically what i already said:

I hear the criticism about the play-in tournament and i get it; it can definitely suck for the fanbases of those teams in 7th and 8th that are far ahead of the 9th and 10th... but ultimately no one cares about the trials and tribulations of a 7th or 8th seed. So as i've said before, i don't really know what your point was...

but it's all good. Carry on.

The play-in format needs to be gone.

Wolves are 11 wins above the 9th seed. One more win and it's zero theoretical chances of a 9th seed catching them up. They should not be playing in this stupid win or go home play-in format.

They should’ve kept the rule from the bubble where you had to be within a certain amount of games to qualify. That’s why there was a play-in game for the West that year but not the East, because the Wizards had fallen too far back from 8th.

But unnecessary or not, there’s money to be made so oh well.
