they dont have to play frequently..

Look at Lakers vs Celtics. Rivals? THEY WERE. Wilt vs Russell Magic and Kareem vs Bird and company... Kobe vs Pierce

Now its *crickets*

Was Wilt gonna trade jerseys wit Bill? LOL

when top teams played back in the days, it wasnt any swapping jerseys. Was Reggie Miller gonna swap Jerseys with a Knicks player. How bout Isaiah and Jordan?

The players make the rivalries
Lakers vs Celtics have been meeting in the Finals for ages though and both teams had hall of fame players to boot. Knicks vs Pacers and Chicago vs Detroit has history as well. The subject was on JA vs Trae - Memphis vs ATL and how they're friendly towards each other. There's no history between them. ATL vs Boston has a lot of history behind them

stop commenting on basketball if you don’t know what the fukk you’re talking about.

So I guess Trae wasn’t generating them Ws in the playoffs last year huh? He’s proven himself on the biggest stage.

Been the only consistent player on the Hawks this year while everyone else had been injured or had Covid.
What biggest stage? He’s such a ball hog they’re about to trade away the second best player for pennies on the dollar. Last year was a fluke for the Hawks. Their record this year proves that.

On his best day, he will never be Ja Morant.

Nah Carmelo did the right thing, that boy comment is always gonna have some racial undertones coming from a white man. Sucking it up doesn't make you a warrior, checking somebody who's being a racist dikkhead means you have pride in who you are. Something like that shouldn't have to be explained to another black man.

It’s Shaq and Chuck I would be surprised they would’ve been on melo side. People can say what they what to say about Kenny but with these situations he backs the player which is what Shaq and Chuck should be doing.

PS it ain’t shyt soft about melo

This is actually a tough one :patrice:

I gotta start Dray because of his ability as a playmaker. Rodman and Wallace are -1000 on the playmaking scale.

Between Worm and Wallace though :patrice:

Neither one of them can throw a rock in the ocean but I gotta go with the Worm. Ben was a better rim protector but Rodman was a demon on the glass. It's close though.

James Bouknight is kinda nice

@Hornets fans ya’ll think he can be better than Monk? He’s got a similar skillset and athletic ability. If he can that’s a double win for MJ...not having to pay Monk and having this kid on a rookie contract for the next 3 years. And on top of that end up a better player...

I think he's got a more focused approach than Monk for sure, but more than anything he's not getting fukked over right out the gate the Monk was.

When Monk got drafted, the staff was positive he'd never be able to contribute to the dumbass win-now logic unless he became a pure point guard. Lamb was the project wing of the future at the time. Also there was PJ Hairston :mjlol:. Monk hadn't played PG since like his sophomore year in high school. It was stupid.

And when he wasn't ready for that, they held it against him. Then they asked him to be a spot up shooter like he's ever been that type of player. When Borrego came along, he genuinely saw both Martin twins as better options and looking back he wasn't 'wrong' for that either considering how things were going.

Bouknight is basically asked to be Terry-lite and there's a way better group around him than Monk.

easy af. Start Dray. Bench worm. Cut Ben. Sorry but playing in a very week era with your main competition being Jaamal Magloire and Jason Collins isn’t impressive in this convo

Man how old are yall? Do yall understand how great defensively Rodman was and let's not talk about rebounds. He might be the greatest rebounder ever

Rebounds are the single-most overrated action of the game, never mind the fact that Rodman would abandon his defensive assignment to pad his rebound numbers. There's a thread on this anyway, we don't need flood the observations thread with this.
