Kerr picked JTA over Kuminga this game and it hasn’t paid off.
Kuminga was -16 in 15 minutes and struggled on both ends. JTA was +1 in 15 minutes and was pivotal down the stretch of the 4th. He was one of a few Warriors players that bothered to show up.

You’re more analytical than me but the eye test showed me that JTA made more mistakes than positive plays. Not sure how Kuminga could have been a worse option.

Kuminga looked completely lost in that 1st quarter aside from a couple of drives. He committed some dumb fouls and just didn't have it tonight. If you go over that 4th quarter again, JTA had a handful of defensive stops down the stretch (instrumental in forcing multiple shot-clock turnovers), and because of the Warriors big man situation, is really the only one who's capable of moonlighting at the 5 (ideally, he shouldn't even be playing there). You can't really expect Kuminga to assume that role.

JTA more or less replaced Looney's minutes/role, and Iggy replaced Kuminga's minutes/role.

Warriors won't make a trade. They're content running with their roster as is.

Pacers should have 5-6 more wins. They have been unlucky in a lot of clutch games..

random question

but would you guys consider Jokic an elite scorer? a title he's never really been described with?
Jokic is elite at multiple things. If he wants to score 30 a night, he can do so easily.
Don’t see it at all

Warriors without Draymond get swept by Phoenix

With Draymond, I got Suns in 6 or 7.

The Warriors turn the ball over a lot but get away with it cause of shooting. Phoenix takes care of the ball much better. That will matter in a series!

First meeting: Suns beat GS, 104-96 (it was a one possession game in the clutch)
Second meeting: GS beat Suns, 118-96 (the game was over midway through the 4th; Warriors dominated them in every conceivable way)
Third meeting: GS beat Suns, 116-107 (comprehensive victory without Klay and Wiggins).

In those three games: Warriors had 48 turnovers to the Suns' 39 (there isn't a great margin there). I think you probably have it around the other way - the Suns aren't a great shooting team, and it's the reason why it gives them a disadvantage against the Warriors. GS should have the benefit of the doubt in winning that series as they deserve that based on their encounters this season, however, the Suns aren't what really threatens the Warriors' title chances.

Will be interesting to see Dallas's post-season run. Impressive as Luka was his first two appearances, we also know LAC has mental midgets who habitually dig themselves holes then require Kawhi to go god-mode or Ty Lue to pull some shyt. Basically a heavyweight title favorite that always gets knocked on their ass for standing 8 counts no matter the opponent.

That said, you can argue there's no current "heavyweights" in the West apart from maybe PHX, which DAL likely wouldn't face in the 1st round. GSW are a perceived HW like LAC was but they may end up just as "chinny" if they don't fix their roster flaws. Same with UTA.

Ironically, GSW like LAC last year has the wings but not the interior presence to deter Luka... whereas UTA has the interior presence but lacks the wings. MEM is probably the least volatile but also the least experienced/established.

There’s only one player that can save the Warriors season and it ain’t Draymond.

The same guy who had the worst net rating on the Warriors last season? The same guy who was the only player in the past 7-8 seasons to have negative net rating alongside Steph? The same guy that they sacrificed wins to integrate into the system? The same guy they went 18-21 with, and 21-12 without (including the #1 defense in the league)? The same guy who can't even set a basic screen and constantly gets lost on defense? The same guy who's gonna be behind Looney on the depth chart whenever the fukk his bum ass returns?

That guy?

I remember reading a couple of weeks ago that they were something 1-11 in games decided by 4 points or less :picard:

It’s actually impressive though that they’re still competing like that considering how one of their core players is always out with some injury.

its been tough integrating Klay back in the rotation as we can see. Imagine how hard it's gonna be getting Wiseman up to speed
