Real shyt, I wish they’d just take elements of the NFL’s format. Something like:

Saturday regional afternoon/evening National games
Fox: Eastern Conference/Early regional games
CBS: Western Conference/Afternoon games
ABC: National Game/Evening

Sunday National games:
NBC: Early game
ABC: Afternoon game
ESPN/TNT: Late game

This kinda shyt would be heat.

they should move lakers and heat honestly and put warriors and hornets instead

nothing against the lakers, but the heat aren’t national tv level this season

curry vs ball would be fun:ehh::ehh:

Or they should have games starting at 3 at least

They could do this

Kings at bulls - 1pm espn

Warriors at hornets - 3:30 ABC

Suns at grizzles - 6:00 ESPN

Heat at Lakers - 8:30 ABC

Sunday

Nuggets at Hawks - Noon ESPN

Celtics at Pelicans - 2:30 ABC

Nets at Clippers 5:00 - ABC

76ers at Raptors 8:00 - TNT

This makes me miss the bubble schedule

Especially now with so much talent in the league, they need to do better with these weekend games instead of this kinda crabs in a barrel method where it's a crowded 8 game evening and so only one or two will get national exposure. Even for us in #streamgang it's annoying that you can't settle in on one game without missing out on the 5 others running simultaneously.

Case in point i haven't had a chance to really watch as much of LaMelo live, but GSW/CHA conflicts with LAL/MIA and both overlap with PHO/MEM which would also be a good match up.

Would you take this in exchange for getting absolutely no national coverage during the week outside of Thursday on TNT?

The NBA can do both. The regional matchups on the weekend would basically be National games with a regional approach. Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday can be a combined end of the week blitz on cable and majors, and have occasional National matchups between Monday-Wednesday but other than that leave those days for the games you gotta stream or have NBA League Pass.

Regional approach = league pass. Why would a local network give up regional coverage to a bigger network to do the same thing?

I ask because it wasn’t as if back in the day NBC was flooding us with coverage outside of the weekend. The way you’d set it up, There would be 2 NBA games on nationally every night except Monday and NBATV usually shows games then. Even though it’s short on variety, NBA has never shown more games on national tv than they have now. They just don’t go heavy on network TV because the $$$ aint there and networks are greedy.
