Trez will always put up points but Ibaka has been way better for us overall. We're getting more defense, rebounding, and stretching the floor out of him than with Trez. Doc did expose him and over-relied on him to the detriment of the team so alot of that was on the coach. I know everything is about the post season especially with us but I'm going to enjoy the regular season performances as well. We can fly under the radar just fine by me. I don't mind it being all Lakers and Nets talk.

Y'all still have no answer for AD and the Lakers bench is better even though I agree Trezl is overrated.

At some point we need to have the talk about how inflated the stats are in this era. 100 years from now people are going to think the talent level in the nba was at an all time high. Everybody and I mean everybody is putting up big numbers.

Freaking Julius Randle is averaging 23/11/7 50% FG on some Kevin’s Garnett shyt. :dead:

Jaylen Brown is putting up 26/6/4 on 54 shooting from the floor. :dead:

These two have never mad an all star team

Like it’s starting to get comical how much of a rec league the nba is becoming.

Take a look at the 60s or shyt even the 80s. You got dudes in the 80s that were dropping 30 every year that no one even talks about today...that weren't even getting talked about in the 90s. A lot of us came of age during mid-late 90s and the early 2000s where the game was slowed to a crawl and watered down due to expansion and don't understand that was actually the outlier period. A faster game=more possessions=more opportunities for guys to get numbers. That is basketball...not the quasi football that so many of us came up watching.

We still gotta play them. We choked in the bubble so that showdown has yet to happen. If we beat the Lakers in a regular season matchup out comes the "regular season champions" jokes and memes and if we lose a regular season matchup with the Lakers then its double jokes and memes for losing the game.. so its going to take a meet up in the playoffs to settle it. :yeshrug:

John Wall and DeMarcus Cousins both spoke during the meeting, sources said, seeking a direct response on Harden’s level of commitment and preaching about the importance of accountability. For those who had been with the Rockets back when Westbrook preached the same message to anyone who would listen, these uncomfortable dynamics were all too familiar.

Harden, the 31-year-old whose NBA resume’ has everything but the ring that so often defines a star’s legacy, made it clear that there was way too much history here for the newcomers to truly understand what was going on. It’s not clear if this was the sort of ‘disrespect’ to which Cousins would later refer in his press conference the following day, but this tension had clearly been building in a variety of ways to this point. And as 25-year-old rookie Jae’Sean Tate would later reveal to reporters, this was the meeting where they “drew the line.”

similar to what Westbrook and CP3 did to Harden. They spoke up to him and he didn’t like it. if he want to stay in Houston, he could’ve flexed and got them traded.

the Celtics interest
indicating that the two teams had not had recent talks. Still, sources say the Rockets saw the Celtics as part of their process until the end and that there were multiple configurations of a deal still possible on that front. As The Athleticreported on Dec. 24, Boston and Portland had been late additions to Harden’s list.
The Nets, sources said, appeared willing to trade anyone but Durant, Irving and Joe Harris (whom they’d signed to a four-year, $75 million deal entering this season). Durant’s history with Harden and interest in making this reunion a reality clearly played a massive part.

“Brooklyn went Full Monty,” one rival executive whose team showed interest in Harden said. “Desperation was in the cards, and there’s nothing better in this league than to have desperation. …(The Rockets) are banking on it blowing up.”

And therein lies the dirty truth about this deal: If the Rockets are going to make out like they hope here, to have all those first-rounders and pick swaps return as much value as possible when the time comes to make those moves, they need Harden and these revamped Nets to fail in spectacular fashion.

lol at thinking the Nets will fail. Only thing that can go wrong is injuries. Harden is a supreme leader. He not Durant or Kyrie will make sure that the Nets win because he’s the only true leader. He’s e only one that’s lead his team by himself

Why would there be an answer to a great player? He’ll do what he does as would any other player with top billing. Winning in the playoffs however comes down to making it happen when it has to. If a contest, box out or timely shot is at stake that’s what you focus on. I trust Serge being able to come up with a rebound over Trez when it matters

There’s nothing going on with The Lakers bench that causes alarm to me. Ain’t nobody running scared over Wesley Matthews & Kyle Kuzma :yeshrug:

Your opinion is invalidated as soon as you typed harden is a supreme leader

Leaders don’t do what he just did

Harden had 2 chances to show how much of a leader he was when CP3 went down....and failed....

They even had game 7 at home...and still lost....

No he is no leader

Also the shortened 3 point line in the mid 90s only crowded the half court more. 3pt %s were inflated for those 3 years. Now you have a faster pace and much more space to defend for all positions
Jokic 39% 3
KAT 39% 3 (career)
Ibaka 36% 3 (career)
Gasol 38% 3 (last 3 seasons)
Embiid 39% 3 (this season)

Now you factor in having to honestly guard centers at 25 feet, combo guards, "position-less basketball" with the freedom of movement and its a recipe for offensive explosion.

And even with that...we still haven't gotten back to where they were in the 60s. Just now getting back to 80s levels.
