NBA star Enes Kanter’s brother robbed at gunpoint in Atlanta, police say

ATLANTA — Atlanta police are currently investigating an armed robbery involving the brother of an NBA player.

Enes Kanter, a center for the Portland Trail Blazers, posted a surveillance footage video showing a man getting robbed at gunpoint on his official Twitter and Instagram accounts.

Atlanta police confirm the armed robbery took place just after 4:00 a.m. Sunday morning at 112 Courtland Ave. NE.

According to Kanter’s post, his younger brother, Ahmet, was walking in the area when he had a gun pulled on him and was robbed.

Police say the officer met with three victims who reported four men began harassing them earlier in the night at 1492 Piedmont Ave NE. One of the victims reported that while at the Piedmont Ave. location, one of the men snatched a necklace off his neck and left a scratch. The victim got his necklace back and the trio left the location.

When the three victims arrived to the Courtland Ave. location, they were approached by the same suspects, two of whom pulled out guns and demanded they hand over their belongings before driving away in a gold sedan.

The video shows at least three other men. It is unclear at this time what the suspects took.

Kanter also calls for passage of gun control laws in his post, stating “We need to keep demanding peace & change, and stop putting guns in peoples hands.”

Police have not released any details on potential suspects.

AmericanAirlines Arena at 5 p.m. on Friday officially became FTX Arena, with the home of the Miami Heat now named for the cryptocurrency exchange.

The renaming was made at a “Trading Day” event at the arena, with Heat President Eric Woolworth, FTX Chief Executive Officer Sam Bankman-Fried and Miami-Dade County Mayor Danielle Levine Cava among those in attendance, as well as Heat players Bam Adebayo and Udonis Haslem. The Heat’s three NBA championship trophies were featured prominently on stage for the event.

The name change is part of a 19-year, $135 million rights agreement with FTX, which also has established a partnership with the Heat.

The dikk sucking of KD is becoming too much, last time we didn’t see him on a team constructed like the Warriors or Nets he was flaming out the playoffs
It's a coli convention constructed by cats who hate Bron or Curry. I've seen these dudes argue that KD's been the best player in the league for a decade :mjlol:

LeBron hatred is so strong that a lot of these dumbass Bron haters disguised as KD stans don't realize they've come full circle with their logic.

Like the reason y'all hate LBJ in the first place is because you feel he had to form super teams to start winning. And thus his standing as "best player in the league" and "MJ's rival" is illegitimate, right? Yet you turn around and dikkride KD...a nikka who has been on nothing but stacked teams his entire career and still could not get the job done until he joined a squad that was fresh off a 73 win season and had made 2 finals trips (including 1 win) without him.

It's genuinely hilarious. They hate breh so much they prop up anyone who poses a threat not realizing that dude is doing the same exact shyt they hate Bron for.

The cruel irony of it all is that, for all this talk about "he needs superteams" LeBron is literally the only player out of all his current contemporaries who has proven he can win without one. Dude dragged 2 garbage teams to the Finals while KD was getting locked up by Tony Allen the last time he even remotely had to do any kind of carrying (the year Westbrook was hurt.)

Lebron has won a ring without a super team? Where? When?

Steph has won without a super team, so has kawhi :yeshrug:

Lebron has shown he can’t win without having stacked talent. Look at what happened in the playoffs, no AD, got that ass clapped 3 straight games.

Only won last year cause he played a weak and injured Miami team :picard:
