Morant needs a cp3 like PG to play off of and learn from.

JJJ... What's that nikkas trade value :patrice:

Honestly, both Morant and JJJ could benefit from a veteran of their position to play off of and learn from.

Youth is cool and all, but there's legit no veteran leadership out there to teach them the way. Because of that, you legit got them dudes out there learning by trial and error.

You do have a point. There aren’t a lot of good veterans who are in situations they are likely to leave unless the Grizzlies throw the bag at them. A little out the box but I wouldn’t mind them going after Chauncey Billups as an assistant coach. It’s not the same as a vet but he could be a role model, plus I think he could succeed there they got a good core.

Billups is too busy turning down GM and POBO jobs to be an assistant coach

Or it could even be something like bringing any of those old Grizzles players into practice so those young dudes can learn from and soak up the knowledge. Even if they have to overpay for a veteran for JJJ and Ja to learn from, then the money would be worth it.
