i mean its a poorly constructed roster

no reason to extend steven adams
no reliable shooting whatsoever
a few injuries throughout the season
the team collapses in the clutch (that knicks game 2 sundays ago was ridiculous)

Some of that is on Griffin though since he constructed the roster and extended Adams when he didn’t have to. SVG will end up taking the fall for it, but Griffin should be gone along with him.

I’m assuming that Kawhi and PG13 aren’t playing tonight since they can win on Sunday and still be the 3rd seed?

If the Clips lose tonight, Sunday is going to be very interesting assuming the Lakers win tomorrow afternoon

Nuggets Clips would have the same record with a Clips loss tonight, and the Nuggets have the tiebreaker

The Nuggets would essentially control who they want to play. If they beat the Blazers on Sun, then they'll get the 3 seed regardless of what the Clippers do, and they'll play the Lakers in the first round. I wonder if they might "rest" their starters to get a Mavericks/Blazers first round instead and stay at the 4 seed

You know how it goes though in the NBA. The coach ends up taking the fall for the FO’s failures. You’re already seeing Griffin trying to save his own ass when tried throwing the league under the bus for Zion’s injury.

This is the 2nd year he’s created a poorly constructed roster that couldn’t compete for a play-in spot. That’s on him and not SVG, but he will deflect blame on everyone else until he’s fired.

its a shame

how far was Stan Van supposed to go

Zion was crushing it, and BI was playing well, but the roster is built like its 1991

Honestly, they wouldn’t have even needed to jump San Antonio had they won a few of games that they blew during the season. I fully expect the roster to look completely different next season once again lol, but they are likely stuck with that Adams contract for the time being.
