On the nights where they're rolling, people say add Klay to this bunch and they'd be better than a healthy Nuggets, Jazz, Suns, etc.

Idk. Because without him they're still a 10th seed that requires Wardell to go on historic shooting runs to keep them afloat.

So either they're "underachieving" this season or they're gonna need more roster changes than just Klay returning.

I don't know what they can get for Wiggins, the T Wolves pick and Wiseman, but they'll need to float that package during the offseason I think

Maybe Luka posting him up and getting whatever he wants will finally convince Wiggins to hit the weight room. :yeshrug:

Klay opens up a lot of things. They wouldn't be title favorites but they'd have a puncher's chance with him in the lineup. Still need more depth and shooting around Steph though. Draymond is the albatross contract. As good as he is defensively and facilitating offense off Steph, he gives them nothing scoring wise. That is always going to hurt them.

It didn't get talked about much because they wound up winning anyway, but part of the reason Houston gave them so much trouble the last couple playoff matchups was because they ignored Draymond and Looney so GS started every game playing 3-on-5 on offense.

Also Houston was a streaky scoring team that hoped to overcompensate with sheer volume of 3s. In this era we now have top teams that are just flat out better/all-time elite in scoring efficiency.

So yea, even if it was Steph and Klay with this roster, that's still asking a lot of those two vs teams that collectively can shoot the hell out of the ball as well.

I should’ve known warriors were going to be trash when dudes were saying Wiggins being around guys like Steph would change things around

They need probably two more pieces. Steph, Klay, Wiggins, Poole, Draymond (I think they should trade him but I doubt they will) and Oubre (off the bench at a reasonable price) is a decent start. I'm assuming they'll trade Wiseman this summer (I still like his potential). Where that Wolves pick lands is gonna determine what they do. If it lands 4-5 and GS gets it, that opens up a lot of options.

I know they didn't want to (for obvious reasons), but I always felt they should have tanked their way out of that last play-in spot in order to make their own pick more enticing. Especially with how the lottery odds have changed which give lower teams a punchers chance to move up. I’m assuming they’d still be in the lottery even if they lose the play-in games?

If that pick doesn't convey this year, then it's a wrap on whatever championship aspirations they thought they had left.

KPJ got potential to be a really nice player. But he’s reckless... how he matures his game will define whether he’s a budding All Star level player or a Microwave off the bench.
