Should’ve been one of the games of the season but instead we get this shyt. :aicmon:
they ain't tryna be the next Murray

League gotta reevaluate how they schedule national games cuz good teams are resenting having to play so many nationally televised games.

Sound sound sound
Tonight’s game shoulda been must see tv...now I honestly don’t give a fukk

Nets gonna do this the rest of the year when they play the top teams...KD coulda rest against the wolves instead, which woulda been extra days off since they postponed it the day before :francis:

NBA should just fast forward to the playoffs ..cuz none of these games matter rest of season

the east seeds 4-10 just gonna bounce all over the place , and just get bodied in the first round anyway so it don’t matter :russ:

League and networks wanted to try to stuff as many games in as possible with no regard for the players. Can't force players to play though. Coaches/players are gonna look out of for the long view. Now that said, they clearly could have done this yesterday.

Brooklyn is playing a dangerous game though. Clearly banking on having everybody healthy in the playoffs. Talent is important but you can't just roll the ball out there with a bunch of dudes that haven't played together and expect to win a chip.

They didn't need KD after halftime yesterday. Bubble Nets had that game in hand.

They also don't really care that much about top seed (which has to frustrate the league more. If playing for an opportunity to be top seed isn't that serious, then it doesn't help the idea that the regular season has no meaning)

Teams been on that though. All the way back to the Kobe/Shaq Lakers. It's not news. No one cared about MIL last year or Utah this year. Stuffing in as many games as possible and having a 4 round, 7 games per round playoffs, isn't gonna make people think the season is meaningful. All that said, at least Kobe/Shaq would suit up for for games against SA or SAC. These nikkas rather intentionally said "fukk this matchup :manny:".

Yeah that unfortunate situation is going to lead to teams and guys opting to rest more. I’m sure the young guys and young stars don’t mind the national TV games but for guys with the star power like Kd. They don’t give a shyt

It seems like the Nets big 3 never play together. Someone's always out. They have to start building some chemistry eventually.
They give zero fukks and all in for the playoffs. Which is kind crappy. The regular season for a championship team is supposed to be fun and electric for fans as most probably can't afford playoff tickets, but all Nets fan is going to remember is them coasting to the Playoffs.

It's pretty shytty, but when you got a super team. You can do what you want if you can work the system. If you're good enough to coast with just one of your big 3. fukk playing basketball, I guess.

NBAHQ created the loopholes for teams with deep pockets to get a super team and constantly find ways for smaller markets to make more expensive and difficult to keep their superstar with Supermax either eating too much salary or ruining your roster.

If you can build a Super team with FA Maxes... Which is a nice discount while small market are forced to pay Bird Right Maxes with no cap incentives or they flee... Why bother? It's more or less designed to keep struggling small market teams into farm mode.

Small teams are forced to fukk around and win or be apart of the farm system that builds the next super team.

Norfeast groovin…
Interesting discussion. Imo, that has everything to do with the league depending so much on star power instead of balancing that with the actual game itself and the teams. You HAVE to have one of the top teams on national TV because that’s where your stars are. But on the other hand, this logic opens the league up for dud matchups if a team that was projected to be good or has been good for awhile suddenly lays an egg.

I’ve been advocating for awhile to spread out the schedule between the different networks and take a more regional approach to some of the National matchups and save the high profile matchups for the networks where you expect your most impact. I really think how the NFL does it’s weekends would work wonderfully for the NBA while mitigating the overload on national games for these good to elite level teams.
