When Steph Curry was being pushed by the media, it was always 'MVP goes to best player on the team with the best record, it's only right'. Now that that person is not a media darling, it's a little different.

Media darlings systematically get more awards than other players, whether it's MVP, DPOY, Slam Dunk champion, All NBA etc.

Media is a story driven award . Imagine voting for a MVP from a losing finals team player
