I’m looking at all of these huge expiring deals out here on the trade market and buyout market and for the life of me I can’t figure out why teams don’t find those contracts more valuable you can get rid of those bad contracts you have. Of course I’ll take Otto Porter or Drummond or Aldridge. I’m not resigning them in fact I may buy them out but I’m not going to keep paying Kevin love for example.

Expiring deals are great for getting under the lux, bird rights, planning on spending in free agency, or if someone will give you a better player on a longer deal. This year there’s no point in saving up to spend in free agency. So if you’re the Cavs and you wanna get off Love’s deal, how much extra are you willing to pay in assets to get off his deal?

no problem at all, i just find it funny like i said

the only guys he was better than from last years finalists were javale mcgee (center who recently won a championship), mason plumlee (center who’s been playing with / for team USA since college), and derrick white (who was arguably the best player on the Spurs in their seven playoff games the previous season)

i fukk with kuz and im impressed with the way he’s accepted his role on the lakers since the ad trade, but yeah, it’s kinda funny to see his name in there

that’s the value of the lakers brand right there!
