The Jazz game whatever but going against Giannis is a marquee match up for NBA and I’m sure ESPN is irate since they been marketing this game for awhile. But since Kawhi fans are laker and bron haters they won’t say anything
Jazz game was on NATIONAL tv though

What’s wack is he could sit out tomorrow vs Portland a game people don’t really care about but he rather sit out the tougher game va Giannis :sas2:
I’ve always kept the same energy on this so you’re preaching to the choir. A certain group of stans will be juelzing though. If athletes are supposed to be better now, they should be able to do their job every night.

We Not even 8 games into the season and this dude is missing his 2nd national televised game?

this is trash man

Kawhi to sit vs. Bucks due to load management

smh

another national tv game kahwi sits out of against a team he eliminated last season.

The nba really needs to do something. This is so wack

stop calling this dude or comparing him to Mike. Mike would never miss games for "load management" and cheat the fans out of seeing him. That's what makes him the GOAT. he understands the business side of things and knows that some people might get 1 opportunity to see him so he played all he could. Him and the previous generation.

Oh please, lets not go there. MJ wanted to win, not to ensure little Jimmy got to see him in Utah. You really trying to start the narrative that players in the 80s and 90s were more fan friendly?

The "1 opportunity to see such and such" is what the fans say when they call into talk radio shows mad.

I'm not starting any narrative, that's how it WAS.

Jordan has gone on record and mentioned multiple times how he felt obligated to play for the fans so he felt the need to always play. That's an old school mentality. Like it or not that's how past legends thought and felt.

Jordan
Magic
bird
zeke
kobe
stockton
malone
etc.. etc..

How believable is it that all the greats in the past loved the fans so much they would refuse to ever sit out because they wanted to make sure everyone got their monies worth but the players in 2019 dont feel the same way which is why they dont mind sitting out for rest.

Bruh, people dont change. The same type of people that are out here right now are the same type of people that were playing back then. What changes is the environment, that goes for every fukking thing in life. If it was ok to sit out for "load management" back in the 70s - 90s some of the players would have been sitting out. Its like how people think nba players just figured out how to hit 3s. No, if players in the 70s and 80s had the environment that allowed them to jack up 3s all game long some players back then would have been hitting them at a high clip too.

You’re wrong. These players mentality are totally different now then back then. This is why all these guys are friendly and would rather team up to form super teams than to compete. Also like how these guys don’t try to play in then allstar game when back then they were playing hard, running sets, playing defense, etc. it’s definitely not the same
Kind of people. You’re way off base.

Its the players mentality and not the coaches and environment that encourage it? Bruh your mentality can change all day long (which rarely happens) but if your environment requires you to behave in a certain way then that's the way you gonna behave. Eddie Johnson talks about that all day on NBA Radio, about how the NBA let's players get away with things so of course they gonna use it. Back in his day the same things just were not allowed, period. You would find yourself out the league.

If none of the coaches and front offices in the league were with this load managament shyt then guess what, none of the players would be on load management.

If the NBA had the infrastructure (environment) to allow players to form their own super teams in the 70s that shyt would have happened regardless of what these old heads telling you now. FACT is that it was impossible for players to do so back then because there was no such thing as unrestricted free agency. Not to mention that the Lakers and Celtics were already super teams even by today's standards.

I'll say it again, people really don't change by and large, the environment which influences their actions is what changes. For example slavery been gone for about 150 years. Now you could say that the mentality of people in the US has changed to the point where if the environment changed back and whites could legally own slaves again they wouldn't and I would tell you if you believe that shyt then be prepared for a lashing.

Jordan absolutely wanted to make sure everyone knew he was the best player every single night. It was pure narcissism.

It’s frustrating to see but folks forget Kawhi has chronic tendinitis issues. Doubtful he’s sitting games for rest just to have a competitive advantage.

His time as an elite player may be a lot shorter than people realize.
