i dont like the fact they didnt even attempt to reup his contract vlade is a just terrible. Giles has some skills and with more playing time he can get his offensive game more ironed out. I like what he brings every time he comes in not to mention much less fouling then last year. Watch him become good on another team

His knees aren’t going to hold up long term. That’s why they didn’t try to reup his contract.

i can understand the reasoning if this is the case but the young man looks solid out there not to mention his contract would be small anyway there already overpaying everyone else why not keep him around for cheap just in case holmes ask for to much money

He’s in the same situation as Johnathan Issac where they have both played to fully figure out what a extension for them would look like. I could see them bringing him back at a reduced rate after he tests the open market and see what offers he could get out there.

Even then, he probably wouldn’t have taken whatever extension they offered him as he maybe would have felt that he could have gotten more on the open market. Especially with the lack of quality free agents this year.

He’s going to be on that Derrick Rose Detroit Pistons type contract until he can prove that he can remain healthy for an entire season.

Isaac and files situation are exactly as u said with bamba and him stuck behind 2 should of been traded high price players although Gordon payday is coming. But Isaac is considered a foundation piece so he's gonna make a decent contract while giles injuries kill any chance of him getting a big payday. But giles helps with passing rebounding etc kings have given up on picks way to fast just offer him 3 mil and see if he bites. I can see the Hornets hawks and cavs trying for giles

Oh I definitely think a team will sign him. I just don’t think he will get the long term deal that he wants/hopes to get. I think he will get a 2-3 deal with a team option similar to the one Jabari Parker got, who I didn’t realize got traded to the Kings during the deadline.

A team can take a year one flier on him and see if he pans out while keeping the door open for free agents in the 2021 class.

Ehh I can see their hesitant and trepidation with no bringing him back. Dudes knees are shot and they know it. There’s no way I’d give him more than a 1 year deal.
It's not even about an extension with Harry Giles. The Kings terrible front office didn't even pick up the option on the last year of his rookie deal.

Because they seem to be over the Harry Giles experiment and the fact that he just can’t stay healthy.

I think that they should have picked up his option, but I can see why he didn’t.
