1. OKC plays defense and has depth
2. Just getting a team in the playoffs is now an achievement.
3. Blake was every bit a superstar in LA and DJ was a solid rim protector.
4. Rockets defense was elite that year and he played with guy averaging 35 ppg.

CP3 is not and never has been a better player than current Lillard just stop it breh
Kyrie has never led a team to the postseason so yes.

Prime CP3 is better than Dame will ever be. He was a legit MVP candidate in a league with guys like Kobe, Duncan, KG, Lebron, Dirk, Nash, Wade, and Melo.

I have no horse in this race but this is a pretty weird argument :hubie:
My point is CP3 was a legitimate MVP candidate in an era that arguably had better top end talent. Dame has never really penetrated the ‘best player in the league’ convo until this season where a lot of elite players have either been injured or have been having down years. Dame also has plenty of advantages playing in this era (emphasis on the three ball, spacing, rules that cater to offense and the overall innovation in offensive philosophy)... There’s no telling what guys like CP3 and Nash could have been in this era.

I don’t know what Luke was thinking with that one. You have to be able to manage egos. Guys with Buddy’s offensive skill set don’t wanna come off the bench, especially on a bad team.
Buddy needs to humble himself. Dude has been thriving in the 6th man role and the team's record reflects that. Plenty of players better than Buddy Hield have accepted bench roles. Look at Lou Williams, Jamal Crawford, and Manu Ginobili for examples. This is actually one of Walton's better decisions he's made this season.

Luke is just not gonna get the same respect as Doc or Pop will. I understand your point about the stats, but these players are divas. Sometimes the best move on paper may not be the best move for the locker room.:francis:

They are the best team in the league at home. Thank god they'll never have homecourt advantage in the playoffs:wow:
