The verdict has been out on that. Kyrie's a prolific scorer, but his impact and leadership are relatively minimal compared to his sheer talent.

Blaming Kyrie is lazy as hell. Him & Marcus Morris are the only players on this team that bring it every night. They both have their flaws, but if we’re handing out blame for who’s at fault for this start they’re nowhere near the top of the list
It's too early to say they're imploding, but I said it all last playoffs they should've been trying to package Kyrie and Hayward for AD or another superstar. Hayward has been overrated the last 2-3 seasons and Kyrie while very talented does not make his teammates or his team really for that matter any better. And I'm a Sixers fan do the Celtics trading for AD is the last thing I want, but now those two guys have been exposed to the extent that they wouldn't bring back a young transcendent talent.
The Celtics got better without him last season. The Cavs didn't skip a beat. Where is the evidence that says otherwise? Cause there's plenty that says he doesn't actually make his team better.
