It's been the same all season. You got at least 8 players on the team that all think they should be starting and all want X amount of touches. No one wants to sacrifice. Whole bunch of players have their own agendas.

Plus I don't think Stevens is built for this. His whole career has been spent coaching those scrappy underdog teams. This is the first time he's had to deal with having high caliber talent and the egos that come with it and he's done a terrible job. There's no doubt in mind this team isn't the disaster it is with Doc coaching. But he didn't want to go through a rebuild so it is what it is.

All I've season long I've maintained confidence that they'll flip a switch during the playoffs but I think this game has broken my spirit :francis:

They've been putting up duds for 5 months now breh. I know what they're capable of when things are clicking, point is they haven't done it consistently. Any time it looks like they're taking steps forward, they take 10 steps back.

I'm not saying there's no chance they come through in the playoffs, I'm just not banking on it being a sure thing like I have been to this point.

While everyone was lauding Danny for the players he acquired, I was dubious about how they would all fit together. You can't have a contending team with seven guys all doing the same thing and requiring the ball. There aren't enough touches and shots to go around, especially when a lot of those players are young trying to establish themselves or get a big contract.

The Hayward situation really fukked their chemistry this season too. He's been trash for the most part until maybe the past month. He got leeway to play through his mistakes while recovering from his injury but the young guys were getting yanked and scolded when they fukked up. :francis:

Looking at raptors and then the spurs on the verge of missing the playoffs, Demar Derozan goin have another episode of depression anyday now
Meanwhile, Ingram averaging 21/6 on 49%/41% shooting in February and Kuzma's averaging 20/4.5 on 49%/40% shooting in February. Really smart decision by Pop and the Spurs to refuse negotiating with the Lakers. :francis:

Brown is really the only one that gets yanked and scolded

Rozier has had free reign to sabotage this team

Tatum's been pulled at times, though not nearly as much as Brown.

Issue with Tatum isn't minutes, it's moreso usage. There's a lot times where he'll start to get going but he won't get the touches to build on it. That game against the Bulls on Saturday was a perfect example. He had like 9 points in the first 3 minutes and I think he might have gotten 3 shots the rest of the night.

Too many guys need/want shots. Who's sacrificing besides Smart, Horford and maybe Morris? :yeshrug:

Kyrie, Tatum, Brown, Rozier, Hayward all want the ball.
