we just saw a team in that draft decline a 4th year option on Okafor and a third year option on Wade Baldwin. Late firsts /2nd's don't get that kind of investment

Wade Baldwin was never good to begin with. He just had a 6-11 wingspan so he got drafted. He played 0 defense at Vandy.

He better than gilchrist tho :mjgrin:
speaking of MKG, I think he really might be done

his grandmother passed away recently, and he can't even be around the team he's so messed up right now. I legit feel bad for the guy. A lot of people see guys lose family members and they expect breakout performances the next night - it doesn't work like that for everyone. He legit walked off the floor last week after just 7 minutes and hasn't been back since.

I'm glad we're a small team and organization because if this was anywhere else, he'd have to deal with people camping out his driveway for a story. The team is doing everything they can to keep it internal but ....its bad

Lonzo needs to tweak that Jumpshot form something serious or destroy and rebuild it altogether. He has nice touch and feel for the game so it shouldn't be too tough of a transition compared to a guy like MKG. He needs to work with Kobe and Hakeem and work on his post game. Though he's got some filling out to do, he's taller than most guards and should be able to get some baskets and draw fouls. Speaking of drawing fouls , its unacceptable that he's only shot 13 in 11 games. That floater he has is a shot he try to do more often.

For a Freshman to break the assist record for Pac 12 surpassing The Glove and J Kids, him passing and hiding is mind boggling. Maybe its cause Luke isnt running some half court set plays for him but he needs to operate with the ball more instead of giving it to Ingram (who's steadily progressing) and running to the opposite corner.

He has a great feel for the game , solid rebounder with a knack to get to the ball and already one of the better defensive 1's from what I seen so far. Lakers some young gunnaz they should lol to run more. When they do run, Zo looks comfortable and could thrive in more of fast paced system.

Its only been 11 games but im not surprised about the overreactions. I respect Lavar but with Lonzo struggling ,the off the wall statements and shock value , fans and critics were chomping at the bit.

Its still early but he needs to be much more aggressive and try to impose his will on the offensive side of the ball.

He probably won't be able to fix his jumpshot midseason, but one thing he could work on is changing speed on his drives. It'll help him find his teammates waiting for open threes and get to the line.

That wind up takes too long. I've seen a few times where he had an open look but the windup gave an extra split second for the defender to close and contest. He definitely needs to rework that shot and do it now before he's too deep into his career.

He has a great feel for the game but Luke definitely needs him to keep the ball more often in the sets. Try to drive and set up something and if there is nothing then give it up to give someone a chance to create. Last night when he ran the pick and roll and got into the lane good things happened.

@Malta @Gil Scott-Heroin
Randle about to get traded, this is the end of his chapter :mjgrin:

Everybody knew this already. I think if the Lakers are smart they'd hang on to him and let him hit restrticted free agency. We've seen over the last few years most restricted free agents don't get shyt for offers. He'd be a good fall back in case they strike out in free agency. They can keep his cap hold on the books and if they get someone to agree to sign just renounce his rights. I'd rather that happen than for them to trade him for a pick then end up signing no one for free agency. The Lakers have too many young players as is so trying to get another first is almost pointless, they need to develop who they have already.

The Suns showed some resilience last night against the Heat. The score doesn't reflect how close of a contest Warren & co. made the game.
