This can’t be right, Kobe has topped this like twice. his 50 point streak topped 208 points in 4 games

I'm guessing they mean thru the FIRST 6 games of the season. Cause you're right Kobe's had much better 6 game streaks. During that streak of 50+ points in 4 games, he scored 45 points in game 5. So if this was simply a list of best 6 games stretches, Kobe and Wilt would be on top of that list.

Kobe also had that streak of 9 straight 40+ point games in 2003 which was the longest since Wilt as well.

Kobe and Wilt are the kings of scoring BINGES. Even Jordan didn't get as hot for short stretches as Kobe did.

It's true @Poitier Porter has had a weird development. Where its hard to know exactly what he is. First came across him scouting shabazz when he was the hype.. And they were facing Georgetown in one of the games I saw.. And was like who is this Otto Porter with the numbers. Then the Syracuse game. Then his height and length helps. TBH I liked Paul George after I saw him pre draft going against Nick young at the time who was the wizards starter and you could see PG was better. I was like maaan imagine this dude next to Gilbert arenas as the backcourt. But I paused cause of his shot selection. He shot do many threes and badly. But slashing you could see he had something. Physicality he had something.

Porter. Footspeed to this day still questionable. But he rebounds at an elite level, last year for months he had the best 3 pt percentage in the league. Had a fg percentage up there with bron and giannis and kd. That was his company. And rebounding he was in the same stratosphere. The prior season as well after all star. He's a third pick in a draft so we shouldn't act surprised. But I constantly think what can he do next because with the right steps he can be elite. He is already but a step below George and them. But he could still grow more
I love Porter but some guys just are best as role players. Otto is that. He had God given talent and a great feel for the game but he don't have that dog in him.

Kobe was more skilled than any guard or big I've ever seen. He just didn't have the physical tools like Jordan, LeBron or Giannis to just dominate a game in the way those types can. Not say fukk with Kobe, still extremely gifted physically compared to most NBA players.

Kobe stans, y’all :laff:

I'm the biggest Kobe stan there is and I know that comparing Giannis to LeBron is silly. Bron is simply on another level.

Top 5 Players in NBA History are:

1a. Kobe Bryant
1b. Michael Jordan
3. Hakeem Olajuwon
4. Shaquille O'Neal
5. LeBron James

No one else is really close at all.

Go and look up some tape on 2003 Kobe. I think you are underrating him SEVERELY as an athlete. 2003 was his peak athletically and I would put that version of Kobe up there with the best version of Jordan when it comes to the greatest combination of skill and athleticism we've ever seen in the NBA.

While Giannis is freakishly tall and long and very athletic at that size but his skills (especially shooting) are so lacking its silly to even compare him to any of the all-time greats. You can't have a weakness that pronounced and be compared to the likes of Kobe and LeBron.

LeBron is sort of the halfway point between Giannis and Kobe. He's definitely more gifted athletically than Kobe but his skills are not as good as Kobe. And while he lacks Giannis' size or length, he was more athletic and much more skilled. Its silly to even bring Giannis into these debates until he proves he can lead a team beyond the first or second round of the weak eastern conference playoffs.
