This series is making me look at Steph different. It started with the Cavs and how they would run plays to get Curry in a 1-on-1, culminated with that last shot Kyrie hit on him for the championship. And now this series Houston basically going at him every single play. You can't be considered an all time great and other teams literally running plays to attack you on defense. Anybody who plays ball knows what Houston is doing is very disrespectful.

Teammates looking over at Steph like :beli:

To be fair you can do this to majority of star guards in the league to similar results. With no help behind you it's hard to defend against a NBA player 1 on 1 and expect to stop them the majority of the time. It's not like Steph has played bad defense on ALL possessions, Harden went 9 for 24 and Steph stole the ball a few times.

They did this to Mitchell last series and I bet they could get similar results if they targeted Lillard, Irving, Westbrook, McCollum, Kemba, etc.

Very few PGs have the ability to lock up Harden/CP3 1 on 1 with no help. I don't look at them different :yeshrug:

So why aren't other guards picked on to the degree Steph is? They're really treating him like food out there.

Mitchell just did. And it's the Warriors so it's being brought more attention.

Not many teams run 5 out and have the ability to do what the Rockets did. When it's 5 out that means 5 players are behind the 3 point line. If ANYONE helps that creates an open 3. Most teams dont have 5 capable 3 point shooters on the floor. Rockets did it in game 1 as well but the role players werent playing nearly as well and he played better 1 on 1 defense than game 2 but no one talked about it because they won. Now that they lost he's being castrated.
