The West has won 20 more games against the East. It was only close because Cousins, Kawhi, Butler, Millsap, Curry and Gobert missed all those damn games. The only comparable player to miss that many games in the East is Hayward. If Kawhi was playing, the Spurs legit would have won 12-15 more games.

Hayward missed the entire season and Kyrie was out for about 1/4th of the season, Wall missed damn near half the season, Love missed a significant amount of time, other key rotational players missed a lot of time like Parker and Brogdon, Whiteside. Philly also went most of the year with Okafor and Stauskas instead of Bellinelli and Ilyasova.
