This would only pay off if they don't have to play Minnesota IMO. Minnesota wouldn't challenge the Rockets but I do think they can challenge this version of GS. OKC is the team nobody wants to go up against in the 1st round tho.

If I'm GS I'd want to face NO or SA ideally, and if that's not possible then Utah. Minnesota or OKC without Curry.

Rockets sitting pretty right now and have an easy path to the WCF. The only threat would be playing OKC in the 1st round. Rockets already lost their chance to avoid facing them in the playoffs.
