Optimistic But I Got Hands Tho
I bet they sign more George Hill like contracts this summer to bolster their young core ... they made that signing after drafting Fox too .. they are hopeless IMO

I’m expecting them to fukk it up. But if that GM spot was open I’d want that job today easy. You can change everything for them in a year and half by doing nothing except nailing the two lotto picks you have in 2018/2019 and staying low.

Yep I agree they really tried to turn jae into spot up/3 point shooter in Cleveland & that isn't the young bull game. Huge upgrade from Joe Johnson he has slowed down due to age.
But that’s what he was in Boston. A spot up shooter who could sometimes drive off the catch and a cutter. I think he's like a DeMarre Carroll, a guy who thrives more in a structured motion system.

I think he wasn’t suited for that small ball PF role in Cleveland (I think it's a position he can play in spurts but not full time), he wasn't getting the same minutes, he wasn't getting as many touches as he was in Boston. Also, he's a streak shooter last year may have just been an outlier for him.

I don't know if it's just me but dude seemed a little out of shape. :ld:

Edit: yeah he started the season out of shape
One of the things that McMenamin explores in his latest feature is the passing of Crowder’s mother, Helen. It disrupted his training and he has started the season a little out of shape as a result. But the Cavaliers are doing their best to support him. And Crowder is honest that he isn’t where he wants to be as a performer.

“I’m not where I want to be, honestly,” Crowder said, according to McMenamin. “But I feel like I’m getting there. Every day with every film session I get better and that’s the key. But like I said, these guys always preach about, ‘All we play for is a championship.’ Once that time comes or once we continue to build throughout each game in the regular season, once the playoffs come, hopefully everybody will be where they need to be.”

so is Jimmy when you factor in the supermax offer and chance to keep playing with KAT (and I guess Wiggins)

Jimmy isn't eligible for the super max once he got traded the super max was gone, only the bulls could offer that contract and he still had to make all nba one more time to get it.

Wit the t wolves it's like 4-5 years 190 they can't afford wiggins, towns(he's getting maxed this fall) & jimmy on max contracts

t wolves already capped out pushing the luxury tax next season. They will have to trade wiggins or towns to keep jimmy

That trade was shortsighted they should of developed the young players to take over the west in a few years instead of "winning now" they won't win nothin but a 1st round series at the most

Kings don’t have their 2019 pick. This is all a pipe dream. No big name is going there. There’s a chance they’ll have a ton of cap space this offseason if everyone with player options opt out. It’s not gonna matter though. We’re gonna be trash forever. :mjcry:

We’ll see :manny:

Ayton (or one of those top prospects) and +$100 million in 2019 cap space ain’t so bad.

I forgot y’all traded that 2019 pick. That’s probably a #1 overall too. :dead:

I notice GS fans talk about lack of three point shooting off the bench outside of Nick Young.

Iguodala's three point shooting has fallen the fukk off he's below 25% now :flabbynsick:

McCaw was showing progress on that corner three he is now below 25% as well.

We know Livingston doesn't take threes and Dray is also below 30% now :francis:

I wanna know tho what the fukk happened to Omri Casspi? Why isn't he taking more threes? Son was a gunner in Sacramento, on Golden State he is only taking 0.4 threes a game. I remember that shootout he had with Curry.

Cassipi has been good at cutting and making good plays off the ball, but he hasn't been shooting the 3. I think Kerr's lineups have created part of the issue about the bench's inability to shoot 3's. In my opinion, in order to maximize the ability of Young and Cassipi as far as shooting 3's, you need to get them good looks, which would mean playing them with 2 of the 3 (KD, Curry and Klay). But often times, i see lineups with David West, Livingston, Iguodala, Draymond and Young or Cassipi. I just think its a lot easier to defend when you don't have to account for other guys outside the arc on certain lineups.

I don't know, I think the Wolves made a good move for the franchise. We weren't keeping Lavine/Wiggins/Towns together and it was inevitable one of them would have to go and LaVine was the "easiest" of the three to trade. But winning is important and players around the league need to see the Timberwolves making a concerted effort to win because we aren't getting any top tier Free Agents to sign here but we still have to be attractive to the mid-level players. I think there will be real discussion on moving Wiggins this summer or next year and keeping Jimmy. I would prefer that because I don't see enough in Wiggins to make me believe he's gonna push himself or his teammates to be better while Jimmy has clearly done that.

There's no way you can sit back and wait and assume your team is going to run the league because other teams fall off. Teams are improving themselves every year, players are teaming up more so it's not like the Sixers are guaranteed to be the best team in the East in 3 years, the Wolves couldn't count on the Warriors falling off and none of the other teams leveling up. LaVine/Wiggins/Towns had not shown enough together to assume they would all of a sudden become great defenders and a winning team. The only criticism I have of the trade is the Wolves traded the wrong guy :yeshrug:
