Long term the Sixers & Bucks will put a rain on their parade, especially if they can't come up with a competent replacement for Horford.
:usure:

Kyrie's only 25
Brown's only 21
Tatum's only 19
LAL '18 pick (a # of star-potential big men)
Best coach in the East
Pumpfakin' Ainge is out here looking like a cotdamn genius

Celtics have the most top-end young talent, in the most stable environment at the moment. We still don't know how relevant the 76ers will be, given the fact they haven't proven anything as of yet, and their future hangs in balance of player whose career could be over with one fall. And unless the Bucks surround Giannis with some proper talent, his ass could be skipping outta the Harris Bradley.

You say the Sixers future hinges on a player whose career could be over with 1 fall, yet the Celtics bet on Kyrie, a player whose kneecap is held together with some screws and plates

The LAL pick goes to the Sixers if it's outside the 2-5 range, which is looking more and more likely by the day, next years draft outside of Bol Bol is extra shakey in regards to bigs. They absolutely need a replacement for Horford, you even alluded to it by saying this years draft has potential star big men.

Embiid, Giannis and Porzingis are better than any of the Celtics younger players, you know it as well :yeshrug:

Nikkas stay miserable
The irony of you quoting that poster is, he's been "miserable" for the last 15+ years. Crying about the Lakers winning, crying about the Suns losing, and crying about the Warriors winning. That's exactly what he's known for - being miserable.

Cavs trade Iman Shumpert & BKN Pick
Spurs trade Dejounte Murray and Danny Green

Who says no?

Cavs get a talented, defensive minded, young PG who's cheap and under club control for 4 years, and a desperately needed 3 & D wing.

Spurs look towards the future and pull off a trade similar to the George Hill/Kawhi deal.

The difference here is: Kyrie's proven he can stay healthy throughout the season(s), and long postseason runs - aided by his style of play, whereas Embiid's only played 70 games since he was drafted in 2014, playing as if he doesn't have injury red flags, tossing himself in all different directions as if he were a rag doll. Yes, the injury cloud doesn't wane too far from Kyrie, but the Celtics have two elite-potential wings ready waiting in the wings. What does Philly have outside out Embiid? Simmons? Who's a special talent in his own right, but as by your own admission, has a # of flaws to his game, and is facing an uphill battle if he wants to be the centerpiece of a team.

I'd take a Stevens-run squad, led by Jaylen and Tatum in arguably the most stable environments in the league, before I'd take Simmons and..... whoever, and whatever hell their staff have done with Fultz.

And yeah I almost forgot, the Celtics have Hayward who's entering his prime, who'll be back healthy next season too.
The LAL pick goes to the Sixers if it's outside the 2-5 range, which is looking more and more likely by the day, next years draft outside of Bol Bol is extra shakey in regards to bigs. If the pick doesn't end up where they can get what they want, they can always package it with one of their younger players and/or assets for a big man. And it's not like Horford is on his last legs (I'd say another two seasons of this level of play if he can stay healthy), or if he's some irreplaceable piece. Just a season ago, folks were laughing at Boston for even signing him to that contract in the first place.

If finding a replacement Horford is your biggest knock on their future, I'd say they're in great shape.
Embiid, Giannis and Porzingis are better than any of the Celtics younger players, you know it as well :yeshrug:
They are, but they're also in worse situations, surrounded by lesser talent/coaching, and less ideal trade/FA spots.

Horford is a smart basketball player who doesn’t rely on athleticism he’s got some years left in him :manny:
