Cavs ready to come off that pick

As the Feb. 8 trade deadline approaches, the Cavaliers are reportedly willing to part ways with the Brooklyn draft pick acquired in the Kyrie Irving deal, but not for a short-term answer, according to Terry Pluto of the Cleveland Plain Dealer.

1. I keep hearing the Cavs absolutely won’t trade the Brooklyn draft pick. That’s not true. I’ve heard from top league sources the Cavs will do it — but not for a short-term answer such as DeAndre Jordan. That’s because Jordan can become a free agent at the end of the season.

2. The Cavs would trade the pick for a younger player who is under team control for a few years. But they are willing to deal their own first-round pick in 2018 for the right short-term fix.
This changes things a little...Denver has some pieces. Phoenix as well. Magic. Lakers (gulp). Maybe the Kings.

It'll have to be a contender who would step and get him for that price, a team like the Thunder :patrice:

They might be choosing the wrong guard to ship off, Rozier is gonna command a lot of money in FA when it's time.

I think they gonna do the same with Rozier next season at the deadline. I honestly feel he has more value now than Marcus.

Well yeah thats why I said that. You could probably retain smart on a team friendly deal and ship out rozier for a rape deal.

Trading marcus now creates a need at the backup pg spot in the draft because you HAVE to trade Rozier the following year.
