The Pelicans have three options:

1.Sign Cousins,and be a 6-10 seed for the next 5 years.

2.Trade Cousins,and get below market value in return.

3.Trade AD,and get a kings ransom.

Option 1:The contracts of AD,Cousins,and Holiday will handcuffed NO for the next 5 years.What good is having a "Big 3" if the rest of your team is garbage ?

Option 2:NO will not get fair market value for D.Cousins.He's a 35 million dollar per year FA with a checkered history.

Option 3:NO can get back a kings ransom for AD....Develop the draft picks/young players that they get in a trade ......Then sign/trade for one or two high price players when the franchise is ready to compete for a title.


The next 4-5 years belong to GS...NO should use that time to rebuild their franchise.......They also run the risk of AD asking for a trade which will only lower his value.

I made that roster in 2K built around LeBron with who I think are perfect compliments to his game
GSW still has more talent on paper but LeBron with legit big men who can defend + shoot + score on their own (Gasol + LMA), guys who can carry some of the scoring load (Mitchell + Lou Will), and pretty much shooters all around the floor for LeBron to pass to, plus an actual facilitator in George Hill who can get the offense moving when Bron's not on the floor, idk GSW might have a tough time playing that

Btw I wonder how LeBron would do against GSW if he had another top 5 player, not named KD or Curry obviously, with him instead of IT and Love

You keep saying they will get a kings ransom for AD but I dont think thats true. All the teams that would try to trade for him have untradeable assets. You wouldnt get equal or greater value, only shot at that happening would be the Celtics and im thinking the best package possible is future Lakers/Kings pick, Brown, future Celtics pick/Rozier and I doubt Ainge would pull the trigger

Boston would own the east for the next 5-7 years with this starting lineup....even if they had to part with Horford......Clev,Wash,Tor,Mil would have no answer for AD.....When you have a chance to get a top 5 player in any sport without gutting your team,you make the trade

Seeing LeBron be a bytch to the Warriors is odd because we haven't seen him get bytched like this before.. shyts really blowing up in his face. He gets one or two more but not with his style now..
