during the preseason, after going to a rockets/knicks preseason game, I said that the rockets would be top 3 in the west, and that harden would be top 2 or 3 in the MVP race. Yet some people called me crazy...:gucci:

I was probably one of them. Expected Harden to be dominant statistically but thought the Rockets would be hovering around .500 like they were last season.

Safe to say I was wrong

Sarver is not "technically" broke, but he serviced a lot of debt from creditors, several hundred million in fact, to buy the team from the Colangelos because he didn't have the money to outright buy the team. He is not wealthy like the new gang of owners (Ballmer, Prokorov, Lasry/Edens, Gores, the two minority partners in Minnesota) who are multi-billionaires on paper in terms of equity. There is a reason Sarver kept being cheap, because he uses the team profits to pay off the debt. New CBA and TV deal is a godsend for him.

Well I hope this means Sarver will open up the checkbook and hire a good coach.

Wish there was someone on the Magic putting up these kinda
exciting monumental numbers:to:

How is Serge doing? I know he was struggling early in the year & then lit up the Thunder & was playing good after that, but I haven't really kept up with him the last couple weeks. He still playing well?

he's doing way better than he was during the beginning of the season:scust:
shooting 40% from 3:smugfavre:
barley getting to the freethrow line:scust:

Good to hear he's doing good. Unless his game has really changed he isn't ever going to be a big FT guy, he's a pick n pop & spot up guy. Doesn't have the post game to draw fouls like that & shouldn't be putting the ball on the floor.

I still miss Serge :mjcry:
