Gerald green is a horrendous comparison for lavine. Lavine is already better than green has ever been. Better jumper, better handles, clutch as hell, and on par athletically. Just overall much more advanced skillset at the same age and even now if you compare the two. At absolute worst, he is a much more athletic jamal crawford. At his best, his game is a mix of kobe and a mini-tmac especially with his tough shot making ability. The better-shooting westbrook comparison was legit when he was first coming in, but he doesn't have that brutal/aggressive mindset. I honestly think he should be option number 2 behing KAT offensively. Wiggins has abslutely zero shot creating ability unless it's in the post. He's very rigid/mechanical athletically, has average or below average handles, cannot create for others, and his stats other than points are very pedestrian for a 6'8-9" SF. Lavine is the best individual shot creator/maker on the team, and at least can sometimes create for others. If he had the same green light to create/shoot/score as wiggins has had, he would put up 20+ easy and likely more efficiently with greater variety of shots. The only thing I don't like is that for as athletic as he is, he doesn't attack the rim as much as he's capable of, especially consider he has one of the higher % rates for guard finishing at the cup. He has pretty much everything you look for out of a potential superstar SG.

See above.

Lavine was played out of position and yo-yo'ed back and forth between PG/SG and could never really settle into what his role was the first year and a half. You will see a significant jump now that he's playing exclusively at SG.

A mix between Kobe and tmac
:comeon:

More athletic Jamal Crawford
:comeon:

Hes alot more gerald green than kobe and t mac, jamal Crawford and russell Westbrook

Something tells me you haven't watched alot of Lavine:patrice:

The bolded is well known and spot on as far as playing styles

Ive actually watched him a whole lot. Being from Atlanta i was hoping the hawks was going to draft him that year but he's really not showing to be the player i thought he would be but it is very early in his career. The Westbrook with a better shot comparison is laughable and he literally played zero percent like kobe bryant. Plz enlighten me on how his game resembles kobe in any way

He averaged 14,3,3 in his second year, what were you expecting?:what:

Lavine is living up to his draft selection and potential as of right now.

And he'd be doing better if he got the same freedom as Wiggins

Um d'angelo russell averaged 13/3/3 his rookie year in a very congested back court and was declared bust status on here. Its not about the numbers at this stage in their careers. Its about the trajectory of skill set

And Lavine can shoot it,put it on the floor and can finish,he has everything needed to excel as a top flight SG,what are you talking about?:what:

Like others have said placing him at the two has helped tremendously. The crazy part is Wiggins fits better at the two imo than the 3 as well.

Imo just the way he moves on the court reminds me of young Kobe

At no point has Wiggins looked as crisp offensively as Lavine. Minnesota may have to make a decision and pick one.

Like i said he's not really bad at anything. He's just not that great at them either. What about his game really transcends besides his athleticism

Yeah lavine is not a point in no way. See the thing that separates kobe from most is his footwork and body control is second 2 none. I see zero percent of that in lavine. Wiggins actually has decent body control. Wiggins is very mechanical like u said tho. Idk about him and lavine tho, this year should tell it
