Statistically the Spurs have the best defense when he's off, but one of the worst while he's on. That doesn't mean that he's not a great defender and it doesn't mean they Spurs are better off without him - it's just giving a general outlook of how the defense performs with him on/off court. Like I said there's a lot of noise involved (starters/bench units he plays with, personnel cohesion, matchups and all other activity on the defensive end), but his defense has slipped this season, and it's not just in his individual defensive shot situation attempts either. I've talked about Gobert's chances of winning DPOY this season and how he's a deserving candidate, so miss with me with that "pathetic agenda" bullshyt.

He needs to be traded and have a good coach. His shot selection these last few minutes have been atrocious. Besides the contested 3, I don't why he's trying to barrel through the Knicks big men and take tough layups, when he can shoot a hook shot.
His talent is undeniable, but he needs a coach that will press him on taking good shots, and needs to be on a team where there's another all star player.
I'm not sure how I feel about Westbrook's season so far. The stats are insane, but his usage rate is by far the highest in league history, he's averaging almost six turnovers a game and his shooting percentages aren't that great. He falls asleep on defense and chases rebounds too. He's winning games though.

See this is the problem with you - YOU DON'T READ PROPERLY. If you think I'm suggesting they're better defensively without him, you're more idiotic than I thought. The point is his defensive impact isn't as great as his reputation is, up to this point of the season. I mean you can see in his defensive shot attempts (PNR ball handler, iso and handoff), and you can see that he isn't as active defensively as he was over the past two seasons because he's still trying to balance a bigger offensive workload.
I mean Spurs fans have been saying shyt like this:
