Okafor would help their offense, give them better floor balance and I think being on a veteran team would help him a lot defensively. :manny:

I'll also add that Noel's paint defensive field goal percentage allowed isn't much better than Okafor's.

Edit: actually, it's worse. :mjlol:
i) You cant just use paint DFG%, especially for players who're on a dysfunctional team with lineup changes all throughout the season.
ii) Noel started in nearly every game he played in, therefore he defended against the best offensive players (avg 29 min a game), whereas Okafor came off the bench for most of the season (avg 20 min a game)
iii)

The same teammates Embiid has? Pretty sure a lot of his teammates last year were also the same ones they had the year prior(except MCW) when they had a top 10 defensive rating that plummeted with Okafor out there. :mjpls:

Are Celtics trading Amir Johnson for Okafor or Avery Bradley for Okafor? Is Okafor anywhere close to the value of Avery Bradley(no he's not).
Embiid >>>>>> Okafor

Eventually, Okafor's gonna get out of Philly and he's gonna show he's a really good player. The Celtics already have ten wings. A low post threat would help their offense a lot.

You've seen the defensive turnaround Nick Young has had this season. Don't act like Okafor can't improve after what Young's shown thus far. :usure:

Fact remains that Okafor's paint DFG% is lower than Noel's. His block and steal rates are both up this season. If Okafor was on the floor with Horford, Crowder and Smart, he'd be fine.

You know better than this breh. Don't dumb down your argument for the sake of.

i) Where's the spacing with that lineup?
ii) Where's the rim protector with that lineup?
iii) Where's the big active body to keep players off the glass/stop big men from rolling to the rim?

There's a reason why a 6-2 guard is leading the team in rebounds, and it sure as hell ain't because the Celtics are trying to set a ESPNcentric record for 'shortest player to lead the team in rebounds in the modern era' either.

Nick Young has always had defensive ability and was literally good defensively, or at least getting noticed defensively, during Pringle's run when he was out getting charges and trying to make a difference on that end. That's even when Walton noticed he was doing well defensively as we part of our coverage.

Okafor is physically limited defensively and he'll never overcome those physical limitations. He's slow and he'll never be a good help defender.

And what this is mostly about is you stanning for Okafor more than you do our own damn players, which is the point I keep making for you. You show more faith in Okafor than you do in Russell. :scust:
