Referee impact is way too great in nba basketball to allow for a 1 game first round knockout.....
Yeah honestly. NBA would still make the calls regardless to make the more impactful team go forward. We'd just get a shytty pseudo competitive game like the NCAA championship

Seriously, what is the point of the NBA playoffs? This sport is the most predictable shyt. I cant even watch NBA until the finals now.

Are you 8 months old? :lawd:

Did you know that the 67-win Spurs were going to blow out OKC by 40 in their first game, barely lose the second, come back to win the 3rd, and then go down in 6?

Did you know that the Thunder were going to build a 3-1 lead on the Warriors, then come crashing down to Earth when Westbrook/Durant couldn't make a shot in three straight games to save their life?

Did you know that the 57-win Cavs were going to blow out the 55-win Raptors in the first two games, get blown out the next two games, and then finish in 6?

Did you know that the 73-win Warriors were going to coast to a 3-1 lead over the Cavs, and that Lebron was going to then comeback with the greatest three-game performance in NBA Finals history in order to complete the greatest Finals comeback in NBA history over the winningest regular season team in NBA history?

Did you predict The Block, The Three, and The Stop? :heh:

And that doesn't even cover the three other legit series that just went 7 last year (Toronto-Indiana, Miami-Charlotte, and Toronto-Miami).

Already this year, we've had a Toronto-Milwaukee series with multiple twists and turns, a Chicago-Boston series with a major plot switch, a legitimately entertaining Houston-OKC series, a Utah-LAC series that no one knew who would win until the final quarter, and Boston-Washington and San Antonio-Houston series which are legitimately in doubt.

Yeah, the Warriors have a superteam and Lebron is amazing. They'll probably meet in the Finals. But pretending that taste of greatness is a reason to ignore the playoffs, or that the playoffs have been predictable yearly, deserves you a :aicmon:.

not reading all this.. its too early

anyway, I stand by what I said. The majority of the time, (especially the first rounds) are a waste of time and energy. Hella boring
