Because Harden makes up for the points he misses/shots he wastes with his ability to get to the free throw line, which is basically winning extra shots.

Curry is already cooling off a little and both Westbrook and Harden are getting closer to his level of production. Over the last 9 games, Harden's actually scored 5 more points than Curry and has taken only 7 more shots. Curry is shooting around 49% over that span and Harden about 41%. So despite shooting a much better percentage than Harden he basically scores just as many points on virtually the same amount of shots. So while his shooting % is impressive, it does not automatically make him the more efficient player overall. FTA is one of the most underrated stats in the game.

:smh: @ Lavine taking the last shot. It should be Wiggins or KAT

they needed a three so nah at towns. :heh:

but if you're not going to go to wiggins there(which makes some sense due to him not being the best three point shooter and the defense being on him), then at least go to that fakkit martin because that's one of the few things he's actually good at. he can knock down a three with some space with ease, not sure why they would think lavine would be the better option at all.

That still doesn't make Curry's shooting efficiency virtually irrelevant. Especially since the calls Harden gets can change on a whim.

I wouldn't say that's "cooling off a little".
Over the last 9 games, Harden's actually scored 5 more points than Curry and has taken only 7 more shots. Curry is shooting around 49% over that span and Harden about 41%. And yet he still is the more efficient player because he doesn't waste as many possessions, while still scoring more points in around four less minutes, and his performances aren't as erratic either (cue the free throw attempts) - crippling whatever offensive momentum they have throughout the game by missing shots at a historically abysmal rate.
