Now who else wanna fukk with Hollywood Court?
Jahlil did better against him than I thought but Gobert was impenetrable :wow:

He's a team defender right now, a little too skinny to be a great man to man defender just yet, but he will turn your team defense from garbage to best in the league. Jazz finished the second half of the season number 1 with him starting, before that they were 26th, and of course this year they're already number 1 at it.

Early or not, anyone winning DPOY over a healthy Gobert and it's a sham.. :leostare:

Leonard is going to get more opportunities to do this against great perimeter scorers than Gobert is going to get doing anything against post players because their are not that many of them...

Really...I don't see how anyone could win it over Kawhi for the next few years or so as long as he stay healthy...

:ohhh:

I knew Gobert was elite defensively but this is some Bill Russel shyt.

Is he really that good? Is it just his instincts, timing, and length?

Gobert affects your entire teams defense, Kawhi as good as he is doesn't shut down the paint, a great perimeter defender doesn't have the same impact as a great interior defender.

Length - 7'8" wingspan and 9'7" standing reach in a frame that has excellent lateral movement, he's got a high IQ as well and won't jump out of position. He'll keep his hands up and it's like you're shooting at the rim, with another rim in the way :russ:

They had the exact same roster with Gobert as they did with Kanter, and while Favors is very good he wasn't good enough to keep them from sucking on the defensive side. Exum was good as well, but they haven't skipped a beat on defense without him, all signs point to Rudy as the reason for their defense. He led the NBA in opponents FG% at the rim last year as well, dude is the absolute best defensive anchor in the league now.

He's not the best in man to man situations yet, because he's a little too thin, but he'll get better at that as he gets stronger.

Do you think Nerlens Noel will garner more votes this year? He only had a single vote last year (3rd place vote) and he looks to be doing the same thing as he was doing last year (hanging around that 3.5 stocks area, keeping Philly's defense semi-respectable when on the floor). Do you see him placing near the top 5? Assuming Gobert/Davis/Draymond/Leonard/Jordan are his primary competition.
