There is no scenario where giving Harrison Barnes max money is the best option
Like Stu Jackson said, the new NBA max contract is basically good NBA players. Very good ones are underpaid at the max and elite ones should have their own category.

Batum and Barnes are new NBA max contracts

This is why I believe the NBA is semi rigged.

Warriors last game decides if they break the record or not. How ironic. But to add to that, Memphis plays a back to back both on ESPN/tnt against clippers and warriors.

:patrice:

They're trying to win 73 games in an 82 game season, man. The earliest that could've happened was 73 games into the season; the last game of the season was pretty much exactly when you'd expect this top happen, if ever at all.

i don't think its rigged. the warriors just played a back to back on the road against the grizz and spurs. It evens out. They actually almost lost to the grizz

Barnes is nowhere near as good as Batum for starters

second, stu need to shut up :mjlol: just because the 'market' says one thing, it doesn't mean you have to just accept that shyt. greg monroe almost got his max deal - he was told to fukk right the fukk off. teams don't have to bow to this shyt

Depends on our draft pick status.

If we get Simmons then Barnes would help space the floor and could play at the 4, but I wouldn't want him if we got Ingram.

I'd prefer Whiteside over pretty much everyone at this point.

Wouldn't mind us getting Kent back either, should have never let him go tbh. Obviously for nowhere near the max, but he'd be a good depth addition. Courtney Lee and Ian Mahinmi also wouldn't be bad options. Mahinmi could give us some good quality defense, even though his offense is awful. Again I wouldn't want him if we get Simmons because he'd clog the paint too much, but I prefer him to the shyt that Hibbert gave us this year.

Barnes can't play 4 for a 82 game season and you shouldn't want him to. If you guys get simmons he'll probably be a 4 unless you bring in a real stretch 4, if you get ingram he can be seamlessly implemented and you guys can build your team freely. You guys need to bring in perimeter defenders and competent bigs

even though the bulls are R.I.P there are still alot of good races for playoff positioning in the east and west.

I think the hawks will be the 3 seed, unless they lose tonight to the cavs they will be ok.

Boston and miami game on Wed will be for the 4 seed. Should boston lose to both charlotte and miami, they go to 6th.

I think indiana stays at 7 and detroit at 8

in the west, portland will be 5, and memphis 6th.

what's interesting is dallas, utah and houston.

I think houston wins out to finish 41-41.

Dallas will probably lose to Utah, and face the spurs B on Wed. Let's assume they go 1-1 and finish 42-40

assuming utah wins out they're 42-40, but let's say spurs beat dallas and, the lakers beat utah in kobe's last game and they're all 41-41. Who get's the breaker
