I haven't paid much attention to the Hawks other than the pg situation, why are they having a firesale?? They are still the 4th seed..are they giving up this easily?

Because that's as good as they will ever be...They aren't actually having a fire sale they are evidently asking for quite a bit for the players they have (Korver, Teague, Horford)

We are just trying to trade some vets for some good youth. Just a some youth and retooling. Some of our vets have big extensions coming up and we don't want to lock this squad up like the grizzly are currently.

Really tho, nobody beating the Warriors this year so..

Horford is an unrestricted free agent and they either are worried he's walking or they don't want to pay him what he will deserve

As far as Teague, they have two starting quality point guards and might as well turn that into a strength at another position they don't need

Because that's as good as they will ever be...They aren't actually having a fire sale they are evidently asking for quite a bit for the players they have (Korver, Teague, Horford)

The rumors I have heard for Korver and Teague aren't good deals..Cavs can't really offer anything that will replace his shooting..even if he's not shooting like he did last year, same with Teague..George Hill isn't any better. If they can get some of the picks from Celtics for Horford, that would be a good deal but still. I think Horford told them he wouldn't re-sign with them

The oladipo for Teague deal is interesting

Problem is oladipo is up for an extension as soon as this October otherwise he's a restricted free agent in 2017 and the Hawks are already being stingy with money

I feel like Horford's game can extend like Gasol..guy has the jumpshot but he is kind of injury prone.

The oladipo for Teague deal is interesting

Problem is oladipo is up for an extension as soon as this October otherwise he's a restricted free agent in 2017 and the Hawks are already being stingy with money

I would make that Oladipo trade if it's true, Hawks need a slasher..idk how it would benefit Orlando getting Teague but they don't really need Oldaipo with Fournier and mario being there.

They need perimeter shooting at pg and they figure Payton will be really ready when teague's contract is up in 1.5 yrs
