and they have a cheap ass owner that didn't want to pay to contend with a young ass core. I know you don't like Harden, and neither do I, but as a third piece he would have been fukking amazing. But nah, he asked for 4 million too much. :francis:

Durant needs to stop taking these dumb threes. He's the one guy who can get take midranges effortlessly off the dribble and hit with ease, threes ain't as easy.

Lol at telling Durant to turn down a for midrange shots :dead:

im saying he should stop doing off the dribble threes for literally no reason. he settles for them a lot and i don't think he's shooting well when they're off the dribble like that compared to when he's set or at least has some space on his guy.

how is that post stupid? they refused to pay harden when he asked to for 4 million more than they offered and then shipped his out of town. the reason they paid kanter is 1) because another team they offered that deal and they needed to match or risk losing him for nothing and 2) the ownership is now actually feeling heat to pay out their ass because they haven't won any titles and losing durant/westbrook is an actual possibility. they didn't pay harden when they had the chance to and should have, the fact they're paying now doesn't mean they weren't cheap then because the situations aren't the same. :childplease:

The Harden you see right now wouldn't be the same Harden if he stayed in OKC (this is what people must understand), in terms of the production/output/impact he has. He would be at most a 18 ppg scorer with playmaking - that's not worth $60m on a team like OKC. Harden is worth that much in general, but not on a team which has two elite perimeter players already - there's not enough areas in which he can contribute to warrant that sort of money at the time (it would be different if he was a center who could protect the rim and/or pound the glass and give them an advantage on the block).

I wasn't aware that James Harden is the only player OKC has let go of?

And salary cap be damned, the Harden trade is one of the WOATs in professional sports. I get it, easy to criticize in retrospect, but there's no denying it. Sometimes you gotta pay out to win out. :manny:
Reggie Jackson got a $80m deal. Was Presti suppose to give him a contract like that too? :usure:
